2006 Benning Bazaar


About the Show

The Fort Benning Officers’ Spouses’ Club is excited to announce that this year’s Benning Bazaar will be held on November 5th, 2006 from 10:00-4:00.  We are looking for vendors to help make this year’s bazaar the best one yet!  The Bazaar will be held at the Fort Benning Officers' Club, and we look forward to adding you to our list of vendors.

Vendors are solely responsible for the collection and payment of Georgia State sales tax, and all financial transactions therein. The OSC assumes no responsibility for any checks you elect to accept for payment of goods.

Vendors who are home-based businesses (Mary Kay, Longaberger, Southern Living, etc) will be accepted on a first come basis. Only one application PER home-based business will be accepted. Applications received after the first approved application is accepted will be returned. It is highly encouraged that you bring product to sell in addition to sharing about your business.

Vendors providing their own tables/displays should note that the display may not exceed the allotted space or the vendor will be asked to remove the tables without a refund on the space/booth. You may rent up to two spaces/booths or request a corner. We will attempt to honor all reasonable requests in order of date of agreement/application received. Vendors agree to remain open until the close of the bazaar.

Vendors shall accept responsibility for, and agree to hold the OSC and its agents, and the United States Army and its agents harmless against any and all claims or liabilities arising out of the death, destruction, or injury of any person or property within the display area caused by you or your agent. Further, you shall not hold the OSC and its agents, and the United States Army and its agents, liable for any loss, damage, or theft of your property or merchandise that may occur incident to this display.

OSC is a private organization under the provision of AR 230-3 and 210-1. Neither appropriated funds of the United States Army nor non-appropriated funds of the United States Army instrumentalities shall become due or paid under this Agreement. The United States Government is not a party to this agreement and is not and will not be held responsible for any liability, default, or dispute arising out of this agreement.

Vendors will be provided with 1 table and 2 chairs or 2 tables and 2 chairs per rented booth space, according to space reserved and price paid. Vendors will be responsible for all other display materials, including table covers. The display cannot exceed the allotted space or the vendors will be asked to remove excessive display materials.

• Due to security issues, non-decaled vehicles entering Fort Benning are subject to search and inspection.
• Please have available to the MP’s at the checkpoint – driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
• Bring confirmation letter.
• Your booth assignment will be given as you arrive on the day of the event.
• Hostesses will guide you to your assigned area.
• Limited volunteers will be available to assist in bringing in product if needed.
• Set-up starts at 7:00am.
• Doors open to public at 10:00am.
• Hostesses will provide vendors with bathroom breaks as needed.
• Break down of your booth will not begin until 4pm.
• If you require electricity, please bring extension cords.
• Table covers will not be provided.

Limitations

Advertising

Unique and Chic...the traveling boutique will use its internal and external media sources to promote this event. These sources include Unique and Chic's website, www.uniquenchic.com, quarterly networking sessions, event promotional postcards, possible newspaper and television advertisements, and other print advertising sources as available.

The Officers' Spouses' Club will provide some advertising for the event at large, and the event has some word-of-mouth following from previous years.

Vendor Services

For $40 - 1 (one) - 6'x8' Table and 2 Chairs are provided.
For $75 - 2 (two) - 6'x8' Tables and 2 Chairs are provided.
In either case, please bring your own table covering.


Show Hours
Sunday, November 5, 2006     10 a.m. - 4 p.m.


Set-up

You may set up your display on Sunday, November 5th between 7 - 9:30 a.m.  Please leave preferred parking available to customers.  No break-down before 4:00 p.m.


Fees

The booth fee will be $40 for a 6' x 8' booth or $75 for two (2) 6' x 8' booths.  Apply for any 1 or all 3 UnC Christmas Season events for 2006 now.

Directions

Directions to Fort Benning Officers' Club
From 185 South:

•Follow 185 South to the main entrance to Fort Benning.
•Stay in the far left lane - for No DoD Decal/visitors.
    You will have to park, get out of your car, and check-in at this point (with your proof of insurance & registration) unless you have a military registered car or a special pass from the OSC.
•Go through inspection point and turn left on Dixie Road.
•Follow Dixie Road and veer right on First Division Road.
•Turn left on Lumpkin Road
•Make a quick right on Morrison Avenue.
•The officers club will be on your left hand side.

Equipment and Parking
You can park in the lot to the left of the Officers' Club.
